Accessibility

The University strives to make all our campuses accessible to all users. We understand the importance of enabling access to accurate, practical information on the accessibility of our physical estate but recognise users may encounter limitations around our main Gilmorehill campus, due to the historic hilltop location.

We’re committed to embracing diversity and difference and treating our colleagues, students, partners and others with respect.

We want our campuses to be inviting, secure and comfortable environments for all. We recognise that increasing opportunities for anyone who wants to engage with our campus community and facilities is a benefit to everyone.

Buildings and Room Finder

The University has developed an app (available as a desktop version and as a mobile app for students) to provide you with directions from one building to another and covers buildings on all three of our campuses. You can also get directions to particular rooms and it’s linked to AccessAbles’s website so you can get information on building access.

  • Navigate campus with ease using maps and directions to University buildings and rooms
  • Get accessible route directions
  • Check out the physical access features of locations via AccessAble guides
  • If you are a student you can check your timetable on the go
  • Receive updates and text alerts of late timetable changes
  • Synchronise your timetable with your personal calendar

Get it now at: www.glasgow.ac.uk/apps
The desktop version is available at www.glasgow.ac.uk/locations

You can also use the University’s interactive Gilmorehill campus map. This can give you directions from one building to another like the Room Finder app but also allows you to add in features you might be looking for, such as public toilets, disabled parking bays, and even allows you to view locations of rooms on particular levels for specific key buildings.

In addition the Maps and Travel page also has information about our Garscube and Dumfries campuses.
