Committed to Digital and Built Environment Inclusion

IAAP is dedicated to inclusion through accessibility for all.

IAAP uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.0 – also known as ISO/IEC 40500:2012, guiding international principles. Testing of our digital content is performed by our accessibility experts using automated testing software and manual testing (e.g. screen readers, color contrast analyzers, keyboard-only navigation techniques, voice recognition and a variety of other manual testing protocols and assistive technologies.

IAAP/The Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and Environments (GAATES) is dedicated to promoting accessibility and universal design for the built environment and public spaces as per the dispositions of the United Nations CRPD. IAAP/GAATES follows the Technical Guide to A11y Standard for the Design of Public Spaces and the international Best Practices in Universal Design: A Global Review – 2007 Editions.
