Accessibility

Since our inception in 1935, the Florida Park Service has cultivated and celebrated a culture of inclusion at our parks. Access for All  is our commitment to further progress that culture by providing inclusive recreational experiences for all of our visitors. We encourage you to engage in the many accessible amenities we offer, and we strive to accommodate you in a respectful and dignified manner.

Every park is different, so make sure to visit individual park pages for additional information, and please let us know what we can do to enhance your recreational experience.

Accessibility & Inclusion Policy

Florida State Parks invites all visitors to participate in and enjoy our many parks, programs and services. We are dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations to ensure that our visitors with disabilities are included and immersed in our park experience.

Wheelchairs and Power-Driven Mobility Devices

Wheelchairs and Manually-Powered Mobility Aids are allowed anywhere foot traffic is allowed. Other Power-Driven Mobility Devices (OPDMD) shall be permitted only for use by people with mobility disabilities.

Service Animals

Florida State Parks welcomes visitors with service animals. Service animals are “dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities,” according to the Revised Americans with Disabilities Act Service Animal Requirements.
