Bucharest Wheelchair Taxis
Bucharest does not have wheelchair accessible taxis that can be ordered on demand. Accessible vehicles with wheelchair lifts are available from private transportation or tour companies. These vehicles permit a passenger to roll onto a lift and be raised into the van, all while seated in their wheelchair. Each accessible van has securement space for one manual or powered wheelchair with safety tie downs/straps. This wheelchair user may remain seated in their wheelchair for the entire journey.
Due to the Romanian language barrier, I have found only one company which offers this service, but have been told that there are several others. I will update this section if I discover any more. The company listed below charges 20 Euro per half hour. Transfers between Bucharest’s international airport and the city are 40 Euro. When reserving a ride through the company listed below, request a quote in advance. Contact information for the accessible taxi service in Bucharest is provided below:

Due to the limited number of wheelchair accessible vehicles in Bucharest, it is strongly recommended that wheelchair taxis be reserved as early in advance as possible — even weeks in advance! [...]
