With accessibility on the rise in South Africa, there are many options for wheelchair accessible hotel rooms in Cape Town. Accessible guest rooms are much more likely to be found at the global hotel brands you would recognize – IHG, Hilton, Marriott, Starwood, etc.
When deciding on a particular hotel, it is important to seek out information on access before booking a room. Ask about everything—door width, thresholds, shower/tub set-up, bed height, grab bars, shower chairs—to avoid a surprise when you arrive.
