NCPWD renews partnership with  SUNTECH to Advance Assistive Technology for Persons with Disabilities in Nigeria

The Executive Secretary, National Commission for Persons with disabilities, Chief Ayuba Gufwan with the CEO Suntech Sunny Okachukwu.

The National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) recently in Abuja renewed its commitment to improving the lives of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) by meeting with SUNTECH, a leading provider of prosthetics and orthotics in Nigeria. This partnership is set to boost local production and accessibility of vital assistive devices, enhancing quality of life and independence for thousands of Nigerians with disabilities.

Following the meeting, Chief Gufwan embarked on a tour of SUNTECH’s fabrication center, a facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology to produce prosthetic and orthotic solutions. This center is designed to support amputees and individuals born with deformities, helping them regain mobility and self-sufficiency.

Speaking at the event, Chief Gufwan praised the innovation at SUNTECH, expressing optimism about the positive impact the partnership will have on PWDs in Nigeria. “This collaboration represents a milestone for our nation,” said Chief Gufwan.
