The topic of neurodiversity in the workforce has been a popular one for this column over the last few weeks. Last month, I talked to Texthelp’s newly-minted Chief People Officer, Cathy Donnelly, about joining the company and the importance of supporting neurodiverse workers. The interview came not long after the literacy software maker released results of a survey that found “growing company support” across industries for recruiting and retaining neurodiverse talent. “[If] we can encourage employees to share their lived experience, whether it’s their own or a family member’s, we will create a movement where others will share and we can then support them in the best possible way,” Donnelly said to me in April.
