Perhaps the thing I find most inspiring about CES and similar shows is the many people creating technology to help those with medical issues or disabilities. This year I saw intriguing new solutions for people with visual or auditory issues, ALS, and Parkinson’s disease. Many of these are experimental or expensive but indicate progress in many areas.

For people with Parkinson’s or essential tremors, fine motor movements can be a big challenge. GyroGear’s GyroGlove uses a gyroscope to stabilize the hand, counteracting the tremors.
