Every Person Counts

There are over 7 billion people living on Earth. Each person is a thinking, feeling individual with a place and role in the world.

According to the World Health Organization, more than one billion of these people have some sort of disability, including nearly 200 million people who experience considerable difficulties in functioning.

Every Person Counts is my personal initiative to help bridge the gap between people with disabilities and the digital world we live in. I believe that by excluding hundreds of millions of people from our programs, services, and activities, we are missing out on fresh and valuable perspectives. We face many challenges as a society and species, and individuals with disabilities have much to contribute as we work together to face those challenges.

Since the early days of the World Wide Web I’ve been working to improve its accessibility for individuals with disabilities. I work with nonprofit organizations; for-profit corporations; colleges and universities; and federal, state, and local government agencies to help them set and meet their digital accessibility goals.
