European Disability Forum Supports the New European Bauhas Initiative

The New European Bauhaus is a creative initiative that aims to combine sustainability, inclusion and aesthetics. It is an environmental, economic and cultural project instigated by the European Commission.
EDF is a partner of this initiative. We team up with the EU Commission, inspiring networks, associations, and organisations that are committed to act as promoters and key interlocutors throughout the New European Bauhaus initiative.
The New European Bauhaus is an initiative of the European Commission which connects the European Green Deal to our living spaces. It calls on all Europeans to imagine and build together a sustainable, beautiful, and inclusive future. It concerns architecture, design, urban planning, but also the way in which we live, work, and move around.
The initiative is not fully defined yet and the Commission is seeking input to design the programmes that will underpin the New European Bauhaus. There is already the “New European Bauhaus Prize”, and more actions are planned.
As the initiative is related to inclusive architecture and urban planning, it is also connected with accessibility following a Universal Design or Design for All approach. It is an [...]
