Designworks is trying to help make cities more accessible to all.

Designworks has opted for conciseness when it comes to conveying its mission. On its website, the company states it strives to “design systems that impact and improve the world we live in,” adding “we inspire and challenge the companies we work with to be at the forefront of design, technology and innovation.” The Santa Monica-based Designworks is a creative consultancy firm owned by venerable German automaker BMW, originally founded in 1972 before being acquired by BMW in 1995.
