Accessibility goes to the beach! Los Angeles County has installed an access mat on Venice Beach so “people who have difficulty negotiating the sand can more fully and safely enjoy a glorious day at Venice Beach.” The mat stretches straight out across the sand until it makes a “T” shape facing the water. The nylon mesh mat can be left outside without risking damage during warmer weather, but will be taken in when the seasons change.
