Summary

Learning the what, when, who, how and why of accessibility testing

Abstract

How do you figure out what, when, who and how accessibility testing should be conducted? Gian Wild talks about who should do the testing; hiring experts, hiring people with disabilities or training up existing staff, using external consultancies or building an in-house accessibility team. But that is only part of the project – you need to decide what to test as well. Using WCAG2’s Evaluation Methodology as a base, Gian covers what in a site, application or mobile app needs to be tested. Next is determining how the testing should be conducted – using automated testing tools, people with disabilities and manual testing. Last but not least, Gian covers how to present the results of the testing.
