Congress may have been stalled for most of 2018, but at least there was progress in the world of social media. First, Instagram, in an effort to make its platform more accessible to the more than 285 million people in the world with visual disabilities finally joined Twitter and Facebook in allowing users to add “alt text” to images, so that visually impaired users can better understand images on the screen.
